Synaxon named as Dealer Services Provider of the Year by PCR
Synaxon was named Dealer Service Provider of the Year 2018 at the recent PCR Awards. This was one of three awards presented under the Channel Services category. As you’d expect, the whole team was immensely pleased and proud to have been recognised in this way by one of the leading trade titles.
There are, we believe, several reasons why we were chosen as the winner. One is the clear focus that we have on delivering services that make a real difference to our members. We champion the cause of aspirational businesses who can’t always get the personal service and support they might sometimes crave from major distributors and vendors.
Another reason is the potential that we bring for you to explore new areas of potential and different ways to expand and develop your business – in areas such as managed services and the cloud.
But perhaps the biggest reason we won was that we know the job is not done yet. We know that we need to keep on striving to be better and to make a difference for our you, our members, every day. Yes, winning is important – it gives everyone a boost. But continuing to try hard for our members is even more important and – buoyed by the recognition of this award – that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do.
Celebrate ten years and look to the future with Synaxon
This year is our 10th anniversary and we are marking the occasion by making sure that our annual member conference is bigger and better than ever. Our theme for this year is ‘AI – The Future’ and we will be looking to put the focus on the way we all interact, live and work is going to be shaped by as intelligent technologies develop and becomes integral to everything we do.
Technology enthusiast, author, inventor and former host of The Gadget Show, Jason Bradbury (along with a special guest), will be the leading an illustrious list of speakers this year. There will be a futuristic feel to the whole event. The Telford International Conference Centre has something of a space-age feel about it and it’s more spacious than any of our previous venues, so there will be more room for exhibitors and for the one-to-one meetings that are such a popular feature.
We fully expect the two days to be super-productive, useful and thought-provoking for everyone who attends.

Last year we launched our innovative one-to-one meeting app and it was a huge success. For 2018, in keeping with the main theme, the app makes use of AI to match you up with the most relevant suppliers. Last year over 1,000 meetings were arranged, and we expect even more to be set-up for the 2018 event.
We are hoping to announce our main headline sponsor for the Member Conference in the very near future (and it’s a big name). As it will mark a decade of Synaxon operating in the UK and we have some very special entertainment lined-up, so watch this space and expect a few surprises.

The Conference is FREE for subscribing Synaxon members to attend (for both daytime and evening) and a limited number of tickets are also available for non-members for the daytime conference. It will take place at the Telford International Centre on Thursday 7th ad Friday 8th June.

Conference is listed for CRN S&M Awards
The Synaxon Member Conference has been shortlisted by CRN for Best Partner Event in the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards 2018. This puts our event in the big league of other events run by major international vendor corporations. This recognition is testament to the outstanding value delivered to our partners and the professionalism of the Synaxon Conference, which is now officially recognised as a leading UK channel conference. It’s yet further confirmation that this year’s event is one you can’t afford to miss.
Kieran is latest addition to Synaxon UK team
We’ve recently taken our headcount to 17 with Kieran Reeves joining the team as a Business Development Executive. Kieran joins after gaining two years of good experience at VIP Computers and will be working under the watchful eye of Chris Yule.
As well as helping to support existing members – as everyone does at Synaxon – he will be working to bring new partners on board and ensure they start to get the benefits of their membership straight away. We are sure you’ll all wish Kieran every success in his new role.
Synaxon moves to the top floor
The Synaxon UK team will be taking a higher perspective on matters from now on, having moved from the ground floor offices in the Xpdia Building to the newly-refurbished second floor suite. As well as providing our hard-working staff with a more pleasant, modern working environment, we now have dedicated meeting rooms and a presentation/board-room, and we intend to make good use of these to run regular member meetings and training sessions.
We have already welcomed our SynMSP member group for an initial meeting and we are now in the process of forming the Advisory Board for this section of our membership, who will meet on a regular – probably quarterly basis – in Warrington.
The move upstairs to the new offices is another signal of our commitment and intent to keep on improving our services and building the strength of Synaxon UK through continuous investment and improvement.
