Make sure you don’t miss out – sign up for this year’s conference now

The eighth Synaxon UK Member Conference takes place at the Jury’s Inn Hotel Hinckley on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st June 2019 and if you want to make sure of your place, please sign-up as quickly as you can. Places for this unmissable event – one of the highlights of the UK channel calendar, are going fast.

The theme this year is New Horizons – building a better future with Synaxon and we’ll be focusing on the new and far-reaching investment that Synaxon AG is making in the UK operation. It will be an ideal opportunity for you to hear about the many new ways that Synaxon UK can help you to develop and grow your business.

This year we will be bringing you a new conference experience, centred around smaller and intimate access to our vendor and distribution partners and a greater emphasis on workshops. There will be plenty of opportunity to speak to the leaders in the technology sector and gain the knowledge you need to drive your business forward.

Frank Roebers, CEO of Synaxon AG will be making a keynote address and the entire expanded Synaxon UK team will be there as well, along with some of the biggest names in the channel.

Ingram Micro is this year’s main sponsor and Tim Suhling, VP Global Business Intelligence will be there to give us his views on why data and the value it holds is so vitally important to the success of reseller businesses in today’s market. Microsoft has signed as a Gold sponsor and will be there in force to talk to members about its on-going CSP programme – which Synaxon can help you make the most of through Cloud-IQ. Other sponsors and workshop hosts will include Avast, Databeat, Terra Computers and Ontrack, as well as our new partner, NinjaRMM.

Another highlight will be a special talk by our VIP Gust Speaker, Gerald Ratner. The riches to rags and back to riches entrepreneur is known for speaking with candour and a great deal of humour about his roller-coaster journey. While he may be ranked top in The Sun’s list of the ‘50 biggest mistakes of all time’, Ratner’s story shows how businesses and individuals can – even having been through the most difficult and challenging conditions – revive their fortunes and triumph. We’re also expecting him to share his views on what really makes great customer service.

We also have a brand new Synaxon Conference App for 2019, specially created to provide members with a really simple way to make the most of their time at the conference. You will be able to set up one-to-one meetings, book places on workshops and special presentations, view the event agenda and layout and plan every moment of your visit.

The evening dinner and awards are being sponsored by Tech Data this year and we already have some amazing entertainment lined up for what is always a very special night.
As always, access to the event is FREE for subscribing SYNAXON UK members for both daytime and evening events. A limited number of tickets available for non-members for the daytime conference.

New starters arrive to take Synaxon UK into a new era

You will have seen our recent announcement of the New Start programme in the UK, which will see significant investment being made to bring new staff on board and introduce a whole new range of services for our members.

We have already made great progress in recruiting new members to the team. The latest to join are Mario Scarpa, who has joined as our dedicated Technical Support Executive for EGIS, and Natasha Judge, who has joined as one of our growing Business Development Manager team.

They both bring great experience and skill to the new roles and if you need assistance with EGIS, or a little extra support on driving new business, please just get in touch with Mario, Natasha, or any of the team – call your Synaxon UK Account Manager on 0300 304 7844 or email accountmanagers@synaxon.co.uk.

SynMSP makes progress

There are now more than 80 members in our SynMSP group, and we expect the ranks to reach 100 by the end of the year. A meeting of the SynMSP Board is due to take place in May in London at the offices of Avast. Members will receive a summary of the action points that come out of this meeting a few days after it take place.

A further gathering of the entire group will be scheduled for October or November this year and there will also be an informal gathering of members at the Member Conference in June.

Becoming a SynMSP member brings lots of added benefits, including access to all the core services available through the SYNAXON IT.Partner membership (formerly STP/STPP) such as access to our EGIS, CSP and Central Trading platforms, but also entry into the award-nominated SynMSP community. If you’d like to find out more, please call your Synaxon UK Account Manager on 0300 304 7844 or email accountmanagers@synaxon.co.uk.

Want to join the iTeam?

Synaxon UK’s iTeam – an exclusive peer-group community for C-Level Officers and Directors of growing technology businesses – has got off to a flying start, and if you think you could benefit from being a part of the team, please get in touch.

This group is designed for larger members (ten employees or more) that have a B2B focus and are active, engaged and progressive members of the Synaxon community. Senior executives of iTeam member companies get access to a range of special privileges and services, including a regular CEOs Club through which our most forward-thinking members will discuss current business challenges and goals with an open-minded, trustworthy group of peers.

The iTeam membership and approach has been a great success in Germany, where there are more it has been running for 15 years than 350 members of this group. CEOs meet regularly and network in the forums to share ideas, hints and tips with each other, helping the community to overcome the challenges faced by growing business leaders. Synaxon UK are now looking to replicate that success by providing growing and ambitious members with a forum to build the contacts necessary for growth. Several UK members have now been recruited and initial group meetings are scheduled for the near future.

If you employ 10 people or more and would like to learn more about iTeam and how it can work for your business, please get in touch with your Synaxon UK Account Manager on 0300 304 7844 or email accountmanagers@synaxon.co.uk.
